Software Development

Fusion Source has done multiple projects for high profile clients such as Renwick Business Brokers and General Mills (Pillsbury).  Below are some examples of projects and utilities done for clients.

Software Development Projects:

 

TABBSA and Renwick Admin – Renwick Admin started out as TABBSA admin and is part of a complete solution for business brokers.  Renwick started out by using an Access Database that was distributed amongst all the brokers’ country wide.  Each week the Brokers would email the complete database to head office with that week’s mandates and head office would recapture all the new data from each of the brokers onto a master database, then an email that new database to each of the brokers.  Then the mandates were captured onto a website for public viewing.  This was very tedious and resulted in a lot of duplication and a delay for the brokers to get the new listings.  Fusion Source created a complete solution for business brokers comprising of software and a website that worked together.  Brokers had instant access to all listings and when they captured a new mandate on the system, the mandate goes through an approval process before automatically being published on the website.


Expiry Reports – Expiry Reports was written for a client who would weekly create a set of reports for that week’s meeting from csv files.  These reports would take about 4 hours to compile each week.  Fusion Source wrote software for the client that would use the same csv file, import them and generate the required reports in about 2 minutes, saving the client almost 4 hours a week.












Telesales – The client had an existing system running within Microsoft Access that had been written for them years before.  The system was cumbersome and there was no sharing of data.  Fusion Source converted this database to a SQL Server driven desktop application that is exactly to the client’s specification and has a shared database making updating and sharing of data very easy.







Document Management – Is a complete document creation, tracking, approval and auditing system.  The system allows users to request a new procedural document to be created and the software tracks the whole cycle of the document.  The software also tracks the training of the documents for the users.









Other Projects:

MultiShow application – MultiShow is an application custom written for a client to use in shopping malls to show slideshows, movies, advert and pictures on up to 8 remote monitors.  8 screens are controlled by 1 computer rather than having 1 computer at each monitor with a server controlling those computers.  The software was very easy to use, the user would drag a file from explorer straight onto the required monitor and the file would then run on that monitor.

Utilities:

·  An application written for a client to sort through 2 million email addresses to remove emails containing keywords

·  An application to remove duplicates from a list

·  ColorPicker

·  Monitor an email address to react to form submission from a website
