1. LED tubes

A. General

The initial cost of replacing old technology fluorescent tubes with new technology LED tubes is demanding on the initial capital outlay; however the energy cost savings over time are enormous and far outweigh and in fact overshadow the initial costs.

In addition, the life expectancy of a LED tube is 5 to 8 times longer than that of a fluorescent tube (LED from 50,000 to 80,000 hours compared to fluorescent life of just 10,000 hours). The general performance of a LED tube also outperforms a fluorescent tube in all characteristics. The light is daylight white or warm white rather than a yellow glow.

These LED light tubes are manufactured from aluminium and acrylic, which result to a zero percent breakage rate during transportation and handling.

The LED Tubes include a 2 Year Warranty.

The power consumption is considerably less than a standard fluorescent bulb. Consider the following graph which is based on 200 4 Foot tubes:

If the lights are left on 24 Hours a day and for 364 days (off for Christmas) the total electricity saved is 43 680 KWh or if the lights are only on for 8 hours a day and 364 days the saving would be 14 560 KWh.

D. Fitting

Some modifications need to be made to the existing fluorescent fitting in order to fit the tubes and this can either be done by your maintenance staff or we can do this for you, this will be quoted for separately if required.
